“My soul always shines—and brighter with your concert as a flower grows from your melody, beyond these stone walls. Thank you.”
Alexis, a Shattuck Shelter guest 4/1/2013
Our Mission:
Shelter Music Boston is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to bringing classical chamber music into homeless shelters. All people deserve access to the dignity, creativity, and passion of classical music, whether or not they have a home.
During classical music performances guests in homeless shelters feel the respect and dignity of interacting with great art. Our listeners tell us the music soothes their souls and the music gives them hope. Classical chamber music has an immediate and positive impact in the lives of homeless people.

Currently, Shelter Music Boston performs monthly concerts in four partner shelters: Dimock Center, Pine Street Men's and Women's Inns, and Shattuck Shelter.
We return each month to the same four shelters with a new program of classical chamber music, performed to the highest artistic standards.
