Volunteer

Shelter and Site Concerts

Volunteers at each shelter and site concert pass out programs and surveys, capture quotes and statements from the audience, and meet guests and clients after the performance. To learn more about our concert schedule, please email katie@sheltermusicboston.org.

Special Events and Fundraising Concerts

We often need help at our events with set-up, registration, name tags, and accepting donations. Your presence welcomes our guests and enables you to support our work!

Special Skills

We are grateful for volunteers with skills in the following areas:  grant writing/research, photography, design, marketing, fundraising.

Shelter Music Boston is proud to employ professional classical musicians and citizen artists to deliver high quality chamber music concerts to Boston area homeless shelters and substance misuse recovery centers. If you are a musician or composer interested in joining us in this important work, please fill out the form below.

Internships

Shelter Music Boston offers regular paid internships for college students or recent graduates in the Boston area corresponding with the fall and spring semesters and the summer. We are not currently hiring, but we welcome the interest of any prospective interns at any time. Please email katie@sheltermusicboston.org.

Join Our Board

 

Shelter Music Boston is seeking qualified Board Members to round out our Board of Directors. Candidates are professionals with diverse backgrounds (law, finance, development, marketing, entrepreneurship, technology). Candidates should have a passion for meaningful, high quality art, music, and community service. An interest in the transformational power of classical music is a plus but not a requirement. Board members have the opportunity to be a part of our work to create social change.
