These works were performed for our audiences at Caspar Shelter, Dimock Center, Lowell Transitional Living Center, Lifebridge Salem, Pine Street Women's Inn, and Pine Street Inn-Shattuck Shelter during our regularly scheduled concerts. Our audience members repeatedly ask for recordings of our concerts.  We are pleased to provide these recordings, which can be accessed via free download. 
Some audience members remind themselves of feeling joy during our concerts by using our music for the ring tones on their phones!

Florence Comes Home 

The libretto and music for the first-ever chamber opera about African American composer Florence Price, commissioned by Shelter Music Boston, were both written by Francine Trester.

In August 2018, Shelter Music Boston audiences experienced the world premiere performances of Water For My Soul. This five movement suite is the result of over two years of creative and collaborative composition workshops between SMB musicians and audience members.  Upon hearing the work, one SMB audience member said, “the words of someone who walked in my shoes inspired a new piece of music!” ​​​
